Ch.Casinara Brandi.(Bunny)......My 1st burmese
In1978when I met my very first burmese,& fell instantly in love with
the breed,& had to have one ...
I finally found one in the right colour(brown) and went miles to see
her.I was after a show burmese,but I was not to know just how far
off that Brandi was!.But I persisted in showing her and managed to
get her to champion after many disappointments.
She was not the most beautiful cat,but we adored her. We decided
to mate her when we found a lovely brown male not too far from
us,and she was the perfect mother,producing 3 litters of kittens.
She shredded our water bed,when she insisted on birthing her
babies there...but how could we say no?
She produced a best in show kitten in her first litter,and we were off
on our show career
She escaped through the laundry window once when she was in
season,climbed up the top of the big tree in our yard,and had us
climbing up to get her after midnight !
When she was 12 we moved to Yarrambat,and she loved to go into
the big paddock to look at the kangaroos...& was bitten by a
snake...we had her treated with antivenom for brown & tiger
snake...but she did not respond,,eventually being sent home to
die......we persisted...nursing her..feeding her with a
syringe,carrying her outside into the sunshine,and she would not
move...she slept every night with us...then one night,I woke to hear
her purr..I had not heard it for months!!
My darling was recovered!
But her kidneys were damaged,and she lived on for another 2 happy
years with us,but faded away gradually until one day we saw that
her quality of life was no longer there and she crossed to Rainbow
ridge

He died July 2006 at only 10 years of age,
after3 years of happy retirement.
We miss you beautiful boy.enjoy all those
girls in Rainbow Ridge!
